Hooray for wonderful, marvelous two!

A party was had, with drums and guitars,
And cupcakes and cookies, and lots of stars.
A ride on a bus was your birthday treat,
And yummy pizza what you chose to eat!
A sick little boy, and grumpy too,
But we had to celebrate, because Iain is two!

What has the last year held for you?

You've learned to sleep...most of the time!
You've learned to walk, and run, and climb!
You've learned to talk, and talk some more,
You've learned to eat...but you find it a bore.
You've learned your manners, when they serve you well,
And you've learned that your people are pretty swell!

This is really something new!

You're our little boy, but you're getting so big
You love to help Mama in the garden dig.
You say "Iain is fixin' very hard"
As you work by Daddy's side in the yard.
You'll help with the laundry, or washing a dish,
You're growing up faster than we'd wish.

You're good at so many things...here are a few!

Your words, they are many! They come spilling out!
You're talking in sentences, without any doubt.
Your golfing game is right on par,
And you can hit a puck quite far.
You've got rhythm for the guitar and the drum,
And you bring so much joy to your dad and your mum.

We love you so much, we truly do!

You've got personality, you've got heart!
You're so very sweet, and so very smart!
A good big brother, a wonderful son,
Filled with laughter and joy and fun.
We can't imagine our life without you...
And we can't believe that you're already two!
